Call for Postdoctoral Position

The Ecoinformatics Lab at Universidad Austral de Chile ha an open position for a Postdoctoral Fellow with expertise in the study of complex socioeconomic systems.

The selected applicant is expected to carry out research developing complex network analyses to represent social activity patterns across urban areas using primarily mobile phone communication data. Experience with Cellular Phone Networks data (CDR), Urban Scaling Theory, Network Theory, Nonlinear Dynamics of Social Systems, Big Data, Information Theory and/or Urban Economics is desirable. The candidate should possess good programming and statistical skills with proved modeling experience. Opportunities to participate in the ecological or social aspects of the project are also possible and particularly encouraged.

This position is initially for two years but it is renewable depending on performance and funding. Competitive salary based on CONICYT postdoctoral wages.
